In Loving Memory

Mike was predeceased by his son, Michael (former wife Dianne), in May 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 78 years, Mary (née Huras); his son Steve (Janice); his cherished grandsons Scott (Anna), Brent (Zoltan Ashkenazi), and Marshall (Lydia Thorne); and his great-grandchildren Genevieve, Gowan, and George. Mike was born on a family farm and worked there until he enlisted to serve in World War II. Upon returning, he worked for many years at Spramotor, first as a tool and die maker, later as a salesman, and then as a part-owner. Mike subsequently formed his own company, Ontario Turf Equipment, where he sold golf course cutting equipment, associated parts, and golf course accessories. Mike and Mary were active in their church. Mike was very proud to have his two sons work in the family business with him.
